Venue & Vibe

For this year’s Metta camp, Divine Mother nature has graced us with a beautiful village in district Sirmour Himachal Pradesh.

The village “Churwadhar” is surrounded with Pine, Himalayan Cedar (Deodar) and Oak trees. It’s at an elevation of 6700ft (2000m) approx. Very close to the “Churdhar Forest Reserve”, its serene, wild and quiet.

There is a little market nearby for your supplies and town of Rajgarh is 6 Km.

There are beautiful trek trails and waterfalls around the valley and the host himself is a trekker and guide. There are also a few serene treks which are untouched and not on the internet 🙂 .

“You could hear the pine trees talking here when the wind gushes through. Sounds almost like a flowing river”

Our tents will be amidst the trees of peaches and apricots which after embracing the cold winter are ready to get a fresh coat of leaves. You will be just in time for that 🙂 .

It might also interest you that churdhar is the peak from where “George Everest” did the mapping of the Himalayan region and hence “Mt Everest”
One can see Shimla and Badrinath from the peak of churdhar.
