The non-tech fundae for the techie in you!

Take community curators like Product Hunt – we see a bunch of new products coming out every single day. You could be the best goddamn coder out there but if you lack the skill to hold a gripping conversation with your prospective clients, hires and users, it’s as good as a failed product.

Even before going there, do you have plans of how you are going to validate your idea? If you’ve built products before with a monetisation goal but it didn’t work out as planned, you failed to take the first action before you even write a single line of code – validate your idea! We’ll learn some Lean Startup inspired methodologies to experiment with this.

We will also focus on another extremely important aspect – how to build a great team! Basics of interviewing, what to expect of a candidate, what are the best sources of finding like-minded folks to join your team and how do you sell the role to the prospective hire, cause remember, it’s no longer an employer’s market!

Join The Startup Kit camp to learn how you can validate your idea through extremely cost effective strategies, go from good to awesome email writing, free tool suggestions to help you focus on making your product better and overall, be a champ at building a great team!

Camp start date : 15th April.

Intro:

My first networking session at The Indus Entrepreneurs (commonly known as TiE) was when I was 17. It was then that I started exploring opportunities that allow me to interact at a higher magnitude. My career kick-started with a hedge fund called D. E. Shaw & Co., where I was recruiting for teams in India and the HQ at New York. Quite an intimidating role for me since I was only hiring Triple PhD’s and High Frequency traders from the IVY Leagues. -.-

After that stint, I wanted to explore more on the business side, so I joined a (then) startup called Exotel at Bangalore and did a bunch of roles from Sales, Support to Account Management.

Right now, I work remotely with a SaaS startup based in the Valley called Recruiterbox Inc., which is a tool to streamline hiring for companies. Here again, I worked in a bunch of roles starting from Support, Client Success, User Research and User Experience validation.

Apart from this, I also do some part-time consulting for smaller companies to help them improve their product and their client experiences.

I’m exploring the artsy side of me through Crocheting and also learning programming using Swift Playgrounds – pretty exciting so far! Love driving the car for long distance trips and a sucker for mountains!
